September is here and if you haven’t already given up on the summer, now’s the time to do it and get your knitting and crochet out.
Knit Wise have got all kinds of events, courses and more coming up for the beginning of the knitting season and we’d love to see you.
Our courses are listed on the Courses page and include crochet, embroidery, cross stitch, weaving and spinning. We have more to be confirmed over the next few weeks so keep an eye on our facebook page and remember we have the newsletter if you’d like to sign up to that.
From 14th – 19th September Knit Wise is hosting a Pop Up Fibre event where local Independent Dyers including Yarns from the Plain, Boulsworth Sheep, producers of rare breed sheep and , who provide fully traceable yarns and fibres will have a selection of their produce on offer.
We will confirm more participants nearer the time but we would love you to share in this event which we hope will become an annual celebration.
Also, at the end of September, the 24th to be exact we are taking part in Macmillan Coffee Morning. This is a charity that is very close to our hearts and we’d like to support it by eating lots of cake and fresh coffee! We’re having quizzes, there’ll be prizes and our Knit N Natter ladies have promised to slave away at their ovens for this excellent cause. So if you would love to join in, please have a word and we’d love to have you.
The Cricketers in Ormskirk will also be hosting their first Food & Drink Festival that weekend so come and have a coffee with us and then head over to Ormskirk Cricket Ground and eat your way through the weekend. So much to look forward to!!
